Remembering Patricia Irwin, PCC, MNLPP
With deep feelings in our hearts, we connect with all of you at this time to share the news that Patricia Irwin (‘Pat’ to many of us) passed away peacefully from medical complications last Friday, October 18, 2019, at the hospital where she was admitted, in Vernon, Canada.
Pat lived a tremendously accomplished and fulfilling life and is remembered for her laughter, playfulness, generosity, leadership, wonderful kindness, and so much more.
Although many of us are experiencing profound sadness with her loss, we will take great pride in celebrating both Pat’s life and the gifts she has given to each of us by continuing to share her legacy with the Erickson Global Family and beyond. We can all honestly declare that Pat Irwin “changed the world many conversations at a time.”
Thank you for all of the love, support, sharing of stories, posts on Facebook and the condolences we have received thus far. We are truly grateful. We invite you again to continue to honour and celebrate Pat’s incredible life.
Below are additional words from Marilyn Atkinson, President of Erickson:
Warm, supportive, funny, and full of great stories, she could always keep us awake to the inner life of being a visionary human being, on the path of self discovery. She was a community builder, always passing on articles and information needed to her team… all of us.. and we truly benefitted!
She loved animals, had a dog community, and a garden… she lived in the world.
She was true blue and a really great soul. We will miss you very much, Pat!”
Further words from Richard Hyams, Faculty Lead:
“Pat was more than a Facilitator and colleague. She was the friend you could always rely on and would make you laugh with her ability to find the humour in all things. The respect I have for Pat is a sweet love that is still within me now and will always stay with me. It is with great appreciation that I had the wonderful opportunity to have her in my life. She was and is the embodiment of humour, dedication, commitment and all the while making it. She was generosity above a ten out of ten.
I fondly relive memories of our fun banter and sharing of ideas, stories and pictures as well as her laugh, and her voice. She contributed greatly to the experience that is Erickson for all of us, Learners, Faculty, the Erickson Team and beyond. I celebrate her.”
