The Art & Science of Coaching ICF ACTP
Module 1: Professional Coaching Foundations & Theory (4 days)
You will develop the foundation for solution focused coaching conversations, creating the structure for a compelling vision. The aim of this module is to provide the necessary theory & practice for you to conduct a basic coaching session and facilitate clarity and focus for your client.
Module 2: Coaching Implementation & Solution Development (4 days)
Module 2 will provide you with an expansive set of tools to dig deeper into the How? This is where we find answers to your client’s question “How shall I achieve it?” You learn how to assist your client to design the strategies and solutions for their own personal objectives.
Module 3: Coaching Values & Self-Awareness (4 Days)
Learn what underpins all great transformations. A clear awareness of core values, and how to link these to personal goals, results in a new level of personal leadership for your clients.
Module 4: Coaching Execution – Using Success Factors on Multiple Levels (4 Days)
Theory & practice are completed. This module provides the shared and experiential application of all skills and tools at multiple levels. As an Erickson Graduate, you leave with a deep knowledge of coaching and real means to assist and empower your clients to move forward in alignment with their values and effect lasting and meaningful change.
Meet Your Trainer: Heather Parks, PCC
Heather is a Professional Certified Coach, NLP Master Certified Practitioner, and International Trainer with Erickson College, teaching The Art and Science of Coaching and NLP programs both in person and online. She has spent close to twenty years in business consulting, research and strategic planning, business development, and marketing. Heather provides mentoring and skill building to coaches and is also and Erickson ICF Mentor Coach.
Specializing in the areas of communication and significant personal and professional habit change, Heather brings to coaching and training a deep foundation in solution-focused coaching methodologies and four-quadrant system’s thinking combined with her passion for harnessing capacities for significant personal development. She works extensively with holistic change based on communication and underlying human dynamics for enhancing individual and interpersonal relationships. Her coaching practice includes working with businesses and individuals to create and manage change and forge new thinking habits. Read
Heather’s credentials include a degree in Business Management, with studies in marketing, consumer behaviour, strategic planning, finance, and business development. Additional focus in the human development field includes a BA in Psychology in progress and ongoing studies in behaviour development, integrated learning approaches, whole-brain thinking, expert modeling, communication, relationships and interpersonal dynamics.
As part of the Erickson Team for nearly ten years, Heather has served as a past Manager of Erickson College and continues to be involved with training, support, and other development initiatives. She also works with program and curriculum development and program design, production, and editing. Heather is an International Board Certified Coach (BCC) with the Center for Credentialing & Education, a member of the ICF, and currently is President of the Solution Focused Coaches Association (SFCA) of Vancouver.
